CAR
A road trip with friends along the beautiful Croatian Adriatic – that’s exactly how you can describe the journey to Novalja.
The easiest route from Germany is via Salzburg, Villach, Ljubljana, Rijeka and then by ferry to Novalja. This route is the quickest and easiest. The direct route by ferry takes only 15 minutes.
In the summer months, long queues can form at the ferry, especially on Saturdays (bed change). If you don’t want to wait, you’ll have to take the detour over the bridge to the south.
NIGHT TRAIN
Night trains are becoming increasingly popular and Croatia can also be reached by night train from Germany and Austria. To get to the island of Pag, you can travel directly to the center of Novalja by night train and ferry, sometimes with just one change.
The journey time is usually quite long at 24 hours, but this usually includes a 3.5-hour stay in the beautiful coastal town of Rijeka.
Depending on the type of traveler, the night train can be a comfortable way to get to Novalja / Zrce.
